REGIME CHANGE!

1 Samuel 31:1-6 (NIV)  1  Now the Philistines fought against Israel; the Israelites fled before them, and many fell slain on Mount Gilboa.  2  The Philistines pressed hard after Saul and his sons, and they killed his sons Jonathan, Abinadab and Malki-Shua.  3  The fighting grew fierce around Saul, and when the archers overtook him, they wounded him critically.  4  Saul said to his armor-bearer, "Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me." But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it.  5  When the armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died with him.  6  So Saul and his three sons and his armor-bearer and all his men died together that same day.

God promised regime change.  He promised the throne to David, a man after His own heart. And on this horrific day, God delivered on His promise.  Regime change is never easy because it involves the massive exchange of power, authority, and rule.  Those who have it won't give it up easily, and those who want it are willing to die to get it.  Wars are fought over regime change, power, authority, and control.

We must learn a lesson here.  God promises regime change and He promises to overthrow corruption, evil, Satan, his minions, and even the adamic nature in mankind.

Ezekiel 26:20-21 (NIV)  20  then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of long ago. I will make you dwell in the earth below, as in ancient ruins, with those who go down to the pit, and you will not return or take your place in the land of the living.  21  I will bring you to a horrible end and you will be no more. You will be sought, but you will never again be found, declares the Sovereign LORD."

Thank God for the capacity to DIE to the old man, and live in a BORN AGAIN life "in Christ"!!  When Christ comes into a person's life, regime change takes place.  The greatest war of your life took place when God brought regime change to your old way of thinking, your old lifestyle, and your old adamic nature.  It might have been ugly.  There may have been losses.  You might have been saved through tragedy.  But the change happened!

In cyclical world history, in governments, nations, businesses, and even in business and family leadership, regime change will most certainly happen.  We get central themes of REVOLUTION and REVIVAL when we talk about regime change.  When one man steps down and relinquishes power to another man, a great change happens.  When a son becomes a father, or a lowly worker becomes a CEO, regime change takes place.  And that change can be done through a kingdom manner in peace, or through violence, terror, and war.  In Saul's case, he would not hand the kingdom over to the prophetic direction of God.  He rather chose to try to kill God's man (David) to destroy the prophetic promise of God.  He found himself on the wrong side of God as a type of anti-Christ figure, and God dealt with him harshly.  God sent Philistine tyrants to kill him and his sons, cut his head off, pin his body to their wall, and take his armor into the temple of their god.  It was a horrific event that caused Israelites and the army to flee for their lives as the Philistines moved in for a period of time to occupy their fresh territory.  However, God only used them to cleanse the land, and would soon install His king (David) who would cleanse the land of these uncircumcised Philistines.

Regime change can be peaceful when men, governments, and nations listen to the prophetic voice of God's will and move in accordance with it.  The peaceful transfer of power will be a blessing, not a curse.  It will not disrupt the lives of those involved, and the Lord will take pleasure in this transfer of power and authority.  However, if people want to fight God's will, it's going to get ugly and God will undoubtedly win.  He has armies and ruthless renegade warriors that you know not of, who will gladly swoop down and make a forced regime change, if that's what is required.

Change is coming.  Regimes will change.  Power and authority are being commanded into the hands of God's new generation.  It will happen one way or another.  Bank on it!

COMPASS GUIDE helps guide us through regime change as we set kingdom goals and priorities, and then we seize those goals and force regime change.  We seize our opportunities, and we take by force, the kingdom of God that is waiting for us.  This is regime change, and this is the principle of INHERITANCE!  Get a Compass Guide and join a seminar today!  www.doctordanieldaves.com .
