07/11 Compass Guide Comments By Dr. Daniel Daves

Post by Admin on Fri Jul 12, 2013 9:06 am

11-Jul 2 Chron. 31-33, Acts 23-24, Psalms 56-60, Proverbs 11
2 Chron 31:1 (NIV) 1 When all this had ended, the Israelites who were there went out to the towns of Judah, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. They destroyed the high places and the altars throughout Judah and Benjamin and in Ephraim and Manasseh. After they had destroyed all of them, the Israelites returned to their own towns and to their own property.
King Hezekiah invoked a strong spiritual renewal and awakening among his people because of his personal commitment and covenant made with God.  He set things in order in front of the people and honored God as the first thing he did as king.  God swiftly blessed everyone involved in the restoration of the temple, and GREAT PEACE came upon the land.  The revival was so powerful that the people went home to their own homes and did exactly the same things.
When a person smashes sacred stones, cuts down Asterah poles, and destroys the high places, you've got a person who's returned to God 100%, fully committed, and BURNING THE BRIDGES behind them.  No more false worship.  No more living for false sacred things, and no more spending time up on the high places when God commanded them down at the temple.
Today, the Asterah poles would recommend illicit sin, sexual perversion, and adultry/fornication.  The Asterah was a falic symbol, or a statue of a penis that represented the fertility goddess Asterah.  Put it away.
Today, the high places represent creative worship outside of God's instructed worship.  Have you ever heard someone say, "Me and God have a special arrangement set up."?  That's a high place.  Worshipping football games on Sunday morning rather than fellowshipping with the people of God and your family - that's high place worship.  Anything that takes place of the worship that God has instituted among men is a high place, built by man, deceiving himself to think that he's OK by worshipping up at his own created high place rather than where God commanded him to be.  Tear them down!
Hezekiah's return to God was infectious.  It brought about the greatest Old Testament revival in the entire bible.  People ran from his city and duplicated what they had experienced in Hezekiah's city - and it brought a sweeping surge of God's presence throughout the entire land of Israel.

2 Chron 30:26-27 (NIV) 26 There was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem. 27 The priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard them, for their prayer reached heaven, his holy dwelling place.
Their prayer reached Heaven, His holy dwelling place!  They connected Heaven to the earth, and the blessings of Heaven came down upon them.  This is what we are called to in our lives.  We MUST connect Heaven to earth, and bring the blessing of the 4th dimension into the 3rd.  This is our calling before God.  When this blessing comes, along with it comes healing, deliverance, peace, power, life everlasting, salvation, protection, angelic guard, and many other wonderful blessings associated with eternal life in Heaven.
Jesus said to pray, "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven."  He wouldn't tell us to pray something that isn't going to happen.  In the day of great darkness, a bright light appears and shines like the dawning of the morning.  The people dwelling in darkness will see a great light.  It will rise up like the noon day sun and bring blessing and benefit for all who are presently in darkness.  How will that dawning take place?  Someone with the glorious light of the gospel, their 25 word vision statement, and a clearly defined set of goals to reach God's land of promise (dream land) will appear and the blessing of Heaven's connection to earth will cause men to see a bright light!  That bright light appears when human beings connect Heaven to earth.  When Heaven kisses the earth, bright light appears, blessings rain down, and everything around you changes.  This is exactly what Hezekiah did.  He set his priorities and goals in order so that Heaven would be honored, first and foremost.  He knew that to rule in his kingdom, he must first have the Heavenly connection set in order.  Success would then be his.  And the entire nation would be blessed because of it.
Do you have leaders who are doing this today? Are they leading you to become like Hezekiah and to set your Heavenly connection in order?  I recommend that you get a COMPASS GUIDE one year life planning workbook and take the online seminar.  You will make the connection and a great light will appear and drive darkness away!  Very Happy king sunny
