07/04 Compass Guide Comments By Dr. Daniel Daves

Post by Admin on Sat Jul 06, 2013 12:27 pm

4-Jul 2 Chon. 17-18, Acts 9-10, Psalms 21-25, Proverbs 4

2 Chron 17:10-11 (NIV) 10 The fear of the Lord fell on all the kingdoms of the lands surrounding Judah, so that they did not make war with Jehoshaphat. 11 Some Philistines brought Jehoshaphat gifts and silver as tribute, and the Arabs brought him flocks: seven thousand seven hundred rams and seven thousand seven hundred goats.
Jehoshaphat followed God just as King David had.  For this, God made him very strong, great, powerful, and wealthy.  He sent teachers throughout the land to teach the commands of God. He had a strong army and built great defensive structures.  He had many places to store provisions.  The FEAR OF THE LORD fell on the kingdoms of the land. Even Philistines brought gifts to Jehoshaphat.  This is what happens when people and nations follow God.

Prov 16:7 (NIV) When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.

As followers of Christ, we must live our lives in such a way as to PLEASE THE LORD.  When we are successful with this, even our enemies will be at peace with us.  This is how the COMPASS GUIDE program causes the Lord's blessing to come upon us.  When we seek His Kingdom first, and as we find His dream for our lives, the blessing of God comes.  His blessing changes everything.  He makes the rugged road smooth.  He changes our capacity to move forward.  He speeds things up. He increases our harvest. His hand comes upon everything that we touch and the blessing is invoked.  This is an inheritance right to those who follow Christ's calling and the dream that HE put into our hearts.

I know a great man of Go, well known internationally, who takes this stance in life.  He figures that when he is attacked by an enemy, he must have crossed a line somewhere in the sand with God.  He immediately humbles himself and goes into prayer, asking where he crossed a line with God.  He wants to be inside of God's blessing and he wants to please the Lord in all he does.  His first move is humility before God when enemies arise to attack.  I believe that this is a very powerful and righteous stand.  When any attack comes, we must first ask God if we are responsible for the attack.  We must find if our ways are pleasing to the Lord, because if we are opening the door that allows the attack, we will not be successful until we close the door.

Ask yourself today if there is any way in your life that is not pleasing to the Lord.  This might be the door that is causing attack from enemies in your life.  And if that door is closed, would it cause your enemies to be at peace with you?

From the day that the garden snake, serpent, Satan was cast to his belly, he was cursed to eat dust all the days of his life.  He is a dust eater, which means that he is looking for a "from the dust of the ground" man to eat.  Ever heard the saying, "EAT MY DUST!"?  Well, Satan is looking for a man to devour, and for some dust to eat.  If I am living my life outside of the heavenly man, the Lord Jesus Christ, and if any part of my life is a fleshly, "dust man", "dirt bag", "dust devil" life, then the serpent has the right to eat my dust.
When a man renounces the dust man life and submits himself to Christ, he becomes new and lives in the kingdom of light.  Satan cannot eat that man.  His only meal is dust, and if we stop offering dust to him, he has nothing to eat!

You and I are heavenly creatures, created in Christ Jesus and seated with Him in heavenly places.  In this place, no devil can eat dust.  Why?  Because we have died to ourselves, and had a "dust to dust" encounter with Christ.  Our old man is dead and the new man is alive in resurrection power.  Satan has no access to this dimension of everlasting life.

If Satan is gnawing at your heal, check to see if any dust is present.  Repent, turn to God, and please Him.  Once you are separated from the dust man, (earthly nature of adam), you are free from Satan's attack and you are pleasing God in the new life!  king king king
