06/19 Compass Guide Comments By Dr. Daniel Daves

Post by Admin on Sat Jun 22, 2013 11:33 am

19-Jun      1 Chron. 13-14, John 1-2, Psalms 96-100, Proverbs 19

1 Chron 13:7-10 (NIV) 7 They moved the ark of God from Abinadab's house on a new cart, with Uzzah and Ahio guiding it. 8 David and all the Israelites were celebrating with all their might before God, with songs and with harps, lyres, tambourines, cymbals and trumpets.  9 When they came to the threshing floor of Kidon, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark, because the oxen stumbled. 10 The Lord's anger burned against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.

This scripture will remind us all that you don't mess around with God's presence.  And when you claim to be doing something for God, you had better be doing it under His care and under His direction.  Anything outside of that and you could get killed by God Himself!

While David and Israel were doing a good thing in attempting to bring the ark of the covenant back to town, they didn't follow God's instructions.  They did it their own way, built a new cart to put the ark on, and they proceded outside of God's will.  It ended up killing a great man of God.  Why?

God's ark was always to be carried on the shoulders of the priesthood.  That's where it belongs.  "And the government will be upon his shoulders . . .".  But David had the ark on a new wooden cart, pulled by oxen.  Where did he get that idea?  Who knows, but it was a very wrong idea.

When the oxen stumbled along the way, the cart dipped down and the ark began to slide off of it's nice little wooden deck.  Uzzah was very concerned and out of reaction reached up to steady the ark so it wouldn't fall.  He touched it directly (a real infraction indeed) and God killed him right there.  Yes he was a great man of God.  Yes, he was a priest who was serving God.  But Uzzah should have known better as a priest, that you don't bring the ark in on a cart.  And you don't ever touch it with human hands, period!

There is so much to learn here, but I want to take one particular direction with the GOVERNMENT OF GOD.  God's government is to be upon the shoulders of the priesthood, not upon carts.  God's power, His kingdom might and strength, and His plans and purpose are to be carried on the shoulders of Christ's body. In other words, Jesus is the head and we are the body.  The government of God must be carried by a NEW TESTAMENT authority of some kind.  And when we read the Bible, it tells us that the New Testamant government of God is "FIVE FOLD MINISTRY".  Five gifts, one government.  Anything outside of this is very dangerous, and could get you killed or removed from office, when it comes to God's kingdom power.

Eph 4:11-16 (NIV) 11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

I am sad to say that most churches don't function in the five fold, New Testament government of God.  And because of this they are powerless and disconnected from the heavenly powers that are available when the ark properly rests upon the shoulders of the New Testament Body of Christ.  Many have actually touched God's glory and suffered immensely from their infraction, though serving with a good intention.  Good intentions don't matter when it comes to kingdom power and the glory of God.  Proper structure is what's important when you run kingdom power through a church.  If you wire your house wrong and turn on the electricity, you will burn the house down.  God's kingdom power is no different.  Unfortunately the church is wired wrong in many locations.  God cannot turn the power on or it will burn the house down. And He will NOT put new wine in the old wineskin because it will split the church/skin and the wine/power will be lost.

If you are a pastor, God is challenging you to submit to His master plan for the New Testament church.  You will die to your old ideas of pastoring a church, and must build a new wineskin of sacrifice, death to the old, and sowing up a new wineskin.  Your New Testament government will honor, acknowledge, and identify publicly with the New Testament governmental plan of God which includes Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers, and yes - even Pastors (coming in last, as a point of humility and servanthood).

Many pastors will probably hold on to their paycheck and the little success that they have built over the years.  Us four, no more will keep from rocking the boat and will keep the finances flowing.  However, God Himself will eventually burn your house down if it's not wired properly, and fast!  This is the day of the Lord where He is bringing judgment to the house.  I pray that our houses don't burn because of wood, hay and stubble.  God bless the pastors and church leadership teams who take the bold step of nobility and dismantle the old in order to build the proper New Testament Church pattern that God has shown.

As a side note, the ark of God was put on a new cart.  I have a friend who says that carts are made of BOARDS and BIG WHEELS.  This is unfortunately part of the old wineskin model that comes from the Pope, Priest, President, Pastor old mentality.  It's not New Testament thinking.  And so many churches, businesses, and Christians are looking for a BIG WHEEL to follow, or a BOARD to get onto so they can have another meeting.  WRONG THINKING! This will get you killed when it comes to God's New Testament Kingdom glory!

COMPASS GUIDE helps you to wire your house correctly.  With this program, you will subject the building plans of your house, job, business, education, family, and church - to the fires of God.  The Word of God will direct you and help you to build correctly as a MASTER BUILDER.  I highly encourage any pastor, leadership team, or follower of Christ - to grasp the COMPASS GUIDE model for personal growth, and living in three dimensions.   Judgment is coming to all houses, and God's holy fire will deal with anything that's been built wrong, or wired incorrectly.  Just as Uzzah was a good man but his actions got him killed, so we are in great danger of suffering greatly if we continue to build incorrectly after God has already given the instructions for proper handling of His glory, presence, and Kingdom.
Build correctly!  Take note how you build, because you won't get an opportunity to build over. Build it right the first time! sunnysunnysunny
