02/14 Reading - Thoughts & Comments DX3

Post by Admin on Thu Feb 14, 2013 5:07 pm

14-Feb Leviticus 3-4 John 21 Psalms 71-75 Proverbs 14

1 Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Tiberias. It happened this way: 2 Simon Peter, John 21:1-6 (NIV)Thomas (called Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. 3 "I'm going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We'll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.  4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. 5 He called out to them, "Friends, haven't you any fish?" "No," they answered. 6 He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

One single statement from Heaven can change your business, health, and financial capacity!  While the disciples were doing what they were good at and what they were called to do for financial blessing, they were missing the target on this day by just a few yards.  They fished all night and caught nothing.  Have you ever felt that way?  You know that you're doing what God has called you to do, but there seems to be no fruit of your labor? The nets have come up empty.

After a long night of fruitless fishing, Jesus came by the shore.  They didn't realize that it was Him, but they heeded his call and threw the nets to the other side of the boat.  And the nets filled with fish!

They were doing what they were called to do.
They were using the boat, nets and tools that God had supplied.
They were fishing in the right place.

But they needed a word of WISDOM from the Master.  Thank God that they heeded that word of wisdom.  Imagine the disciples being hard headed and angry, saying, "Oh shut up and go your way! We're done fishing for the day, and it wouldn't make any difference if we threw the nets anywhere - the fish are not here!"  But thank God they remained humble, teachable, and willing to try another round.

What about you?  Are you willing to look again at previously closed doors, business failures, and ideas that didn't seem to work before?  Are you willing to hear His voice and do what He says if He speaks to you?  COMPASS GUIDE students have an entire list of goals and priorities that we must accomplish.  We are always asking God for divine direction, and He gives it.

Listen for the voice of revelatory wisdom that will come to you and help you to make a decision, to launch out in a particular place, and to fill your nets with a huge harvest.  It's the voice of revelation and wisdom that will put you at THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME!   bom drunken  rabbit
