02/11 Reading - Thoughts & Comments DX3

Post by Admin on Mon Feb 11, 2013 9:28 am

11-Feb Exodus 35-37 John 15-16 Psalms 56-60 Proverbs 11

Ex 35:20-29 (NIV) 20 Then the whole Israelite community withdrew from Moses' presence, 21 and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved him came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments. 22 All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the Lord. 23 Everyone who had blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen, or goat hair, ram skins dyed red or hides of sea cows brought them. 24 Those presenting an offering of silver or bronze brought it as an offering to the Lord, and everyone who had acacia wood for any part of the work brought it. 25 Every skilled woman spun with her hands and brought what she had spun--blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen. 26 And all the women who were willing and had the skill spun the goat hair. 27 The leaders brought onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. 28 They also brought spices and olive oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense. 29 All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought to the Lord freewill offerings for all the work the Lord through Moses had commanded them to do.

God commanded the people to go and bring a FREE WILL offering to the Lord so that His house (tabernacle of Moses) could be built.  Those who were willing would bring expensive items like gold, silver, bronze, jewels, precious stones, and others would bring their skills, their time and talents.  Together, the people would build the house of God which He would dwell in and be glorified in.

My question today is:  What does God's house look like?  It has the appearance which WILLING PEOPLE give to it.  If the people are willing to give, sow, sacrifice, and build, then God's house takes shape.  But if the people are UNWILLING to give, the house looks very bad, undone, and non glorious.

My second question today is:   Will God dwell in a house that's not built after His pattern, or a house that's not complete?  I don't think that I would live in a house that had no roof on it, or which was not secure.  If the house was not progressing and absolutely assured of having a front door on it soon, I would NOT live in that house.  Neither will God.

God's kingdom on earth looks EXACTLY like the free will of the people who are building it.  In other words, the FREE WILL of the people to live for God, build for God, and humbly walk with God will manifest, appear, or show up in God's building.

1 Cor 3:16 (KJV) 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

You are God's house, and you must be willing to build after God's pattern and blueprint in order for Him to come live in the house, and for Him to gloriously walk with you, live with you, and envelop you in the realm of miracles and kingdom power.

1 Peter 2:4-5 (NIV)4 As you come to him, the living Stone--rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him-- 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

The best way that you can build for God is revealed in the COMPASS GUIDE life direction program.  Today, you must FILTER OUT all non profitable things from your life.  These include time thieves, dream killers, unprofitable relationships that are not going to walk with you into your destiny, and urgencies that others can take care of while you work on what's important.  You must FOCUS like a laser beam on what God has called you to do.  Make haste.  Get to building.  Don't put it off another day.  Make efforts and progress towards the goals that God has given you.  Build. Plant. Water. FOCUS!

When you are building the house, which is God's dream, you are showing WILLINGNESS to honor, give, and build His blueprint.  He takes honor, cheer, and pleasure in sons and daughters who build for Him.  He will envelop you with His glorious kingdom, and give you wisdom, knowledge, strength, supplies, and sustaining power to finish the job.  He will walk with you, talk with you, open doors for you, and bring supplies for you to build with.  He will CO-OPERATE with you as you build for Him.  He will be glorified, and others around you will see and understand that you are a person who walks with God.

This is the difference between being a "Christian" in name only, and being a "FOLLOWER OF CHRIST".   king king  king
